More CKU

Ok, I have been back from CKU about a week, and I have come down from the “high”, but am still reveling in the goodies and great memories. I finished my Beautiful Evidence digi album last week and ordered the hard copy from Shutterfly – the book and shipping were part of our class kit at CKU, and I should have it next week. Jessica Sprague made these awesome mouse pads for us, gave us each a copy of Computer Tricks for Scrapbooking 2, and a CD of digi elements and class notes from the album track. Additionally, she gave everyone in her album track free tuition in her Up & Running with Photoshop online class from www.jessicasprague.com. I am not a complete newbie to Photoshop, but I took these beginning lessons on her online class, and they are amazing. Jessica runs a first class online school, and even though I thought I knew enough for the basics, the class covered so much more. This was the mid-week assignment from the Week 2 lesson.

I also got around to sorting through most of the freebies and goodies. This picture is most of the stuff, not all, but you can see it was a lot! My favorite swap – well, the only swap I participated in – was the charm swap. There were about 20 of us from the Yahoo! Board who participated, although I made 48 charms (we thought we would be closer to that number during sign-ups, and I made all mine way in advance). While it would’ve been cool to have more exchanging, this was a good number. I used all my extra charms as RAKs for my new friends and for teachers, and the bracelet looks really cool.

Alot of the CKU teachers have been blogging about the event. Tim Holtz's blog is super popular, and he just announced a drawing for free tuition to CKU-Houston in May (just leave a comment). This is the Tim Holtz t-shirt I bought at the event....it reads "to be all that is possible we must attempt the impossible. to be all that we can be we must dream of being more." Alot of us bought this t-shirt - isn't it cool?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
