Fiskateers Spring Fling!

Well, it was a fabulously fun day for Fiskateers at the Spring Fling on Sunday at Timeless Treasures! Our lead Fiskateer, Cheryl Waters, hosted about 60 Fiskateers for crafts, desserts and an incredible mother lode of prizes. Everyone was excited to go home with a new Fiskars squeeze punch, and many others won awesome prizes, including my pal Victoria – who was so happy to get a big product bundle! I brought Franny along who came decked out in my bright orange t-shirt and Fiskars green and orange ribbons in her hair. Her favorite part of the event was the cupcakes, of course, and helping Cheryl pull raffle names from the basket. Stephanie Ackerman was on hand to doodle name tags for everyone. She along with Anita (the Krafty Wahine) were both there - they were the lovely ladies who provided my Certified Fiskateers training last month! Everyone got the supplies to make a cute spring wall hanging....I ended up not making mine until I got home - I was too busy chatting with everyone to sit and craft!

And even though it was all fun and games, it was Cheryl who keeps it all in perspective for us about WHY we scrap and craft. It really IS all about life and family and friendships. For no matter where we go or who we meet in life, the memories we preserve and the treasures we make are meant to last a lifetime. It’s lovely to think that all we do will last and last for our kids, our families and friends. Fiskars is really a brand leader for encouraging the Fiskateers movement. It really is a lot of fun, and a great group of crafters!
