New year, new beginnings, new intentions and resolutions. It's always great to have a fresh start every 12 months and reflect on the past and look toward the future. To kick off my project for the Zutter 11 for '11 Blog Hop, I have made something that actually relates to goals I made LAST YEAR.You see, last year I resolved to get fit, and started running. On the left is me in December 2009 - very goofy looking at the Santa Run, trying to divert attention from the fact that I was barely running and out of breath! On the right is me November 2010, running my personal best time in the Turkey Trot 5k. Fitter, fleeter, and 30 lbs lighter! Not out of breath, but invigorated!
What does this have to do with crafting? Well, I decided that I like running alot. :) And I really like when some nice volunteer puts a ribbon around my neck when I finish. So, modeling after this jewelry holder that OZZ Jennifer Priest designed, I created this display for the few medals that I earned this year!
I started with 8X8 Zutter Clipboard Wood, Memory Mosaics from Donna Salazar Designs, Antique Silver Owire, Zutter Hang-it-Alls in Antique Silver, a piece of scrap metal from the hardware store, magnets, and a few odds and ends embellishments. Check out the process here :)
Now to get you started on your Zuttery New Year, you can use coupon code ZUTTER11 at http://www.binditall.com/ for a 11% discount off everything on the site (that isn't already on sale). Discount valid through 1/31/11!
Visit the 11 blogs below for 11 Zutter-licious projects and 11 chances to win a Zutter Goodie Package when you leave a comment.
I will be drawing a random winner on this blog the evening of January 12, so check back.
And HAPPY NEW YEAR!
