Meet My New Scrappy Room

Here is my new scrapbook room...... Yeah! I took these photos this morning. For some reason I was up earlier than usual and was padding around the new house looking at all the space! This room is the most filled! LOL! The windows face east, so it gets a lot of great morning light. But it doesn't get a lot of breeze through the windows, so it gets quite warm at night. I just bought a oscillating fan yesterday....I have to be comfortable, after all. I like to come in here in the morning and start thinking about what I want to create. Then....boo hoo....I have to get ready to go to work and put all those plans aside. But there's tonight! Muhahahahahahahahaha!

The glass table is from IKEA and is very stable and sturdy. It is pretty spacious, even when I have stuff cluttered all over it. I also got a smallish bookshelf to put in front of the table to hold magazines, finished projects, and to create a bit more table top to push tools to. My Clip-it-Up is nearby and newly organized, I might add. My storage bins are under the table at my feet - I am always reaching down there to get stuff. I have a big closet that you don't see in the pictures that has more shelves for my printers, die cutting tools, books, and everything else! The top of the storage unit along the wall has the things I reach for most often, like flowers and bling. Do you like that picture of Franny and I morphed into a Star Wars scene? That is fron Disneyland last year and is one of my favorites! She indulged my Star Wars love and rode Star Tours with me three times! Ha! I am the green Jedi Knight, and she is Padme Amidala, holding a blaster no less!I like keeping my favorite little things on the desk top - whether I use them or not. The bottle of lotion is the Tinkering Ink hand lotion (am I the only one who bought that stuff?), with a bracelet from a charm swap from Reflections draped on it (love love love the charm swaps!) This will be the room I will be "living" in and I am starting to love it. It is next to the girls' rooms so they are in and out often and I can keep my eye on their antics. The windows overlook the front of the house and I can see everything going on in the cul-de-sac (including, much to Marli's delight, the teenage boys playing football the other night).

Watch for some Zutter blog videos from Studio Scrappy Nan....coming soon to a blog near you ;)

P.S. I posted another layout on the Lucky13 blog...check it out!
Have a great weekend.
