A Cheetah-licious Weekend

Well, it was nice to finally feel caught up on holiday stuff. I was actually able to attend a Prima Master Class on Saturday at the Prima HQ in Chino. It has been awhile since I was able to craft for the sake of crafting and learning a little something. This was a master class taught by Prima designer Adrienne Looman, and my first time at the Prima offices. The master classroom is set up really nice, but because it’s in the warehouse, it was freezing in there! I can’t remember when I was so cold. I had a sweater and decent regular Saturday clothes, but I needed gloves and a space heater at my feet. I sat with Jennifer Priest and we braved the chilliness together, though it took me awhile to “warm” up both literally and creatively. I think I was too cold to take full advantage of the buying opportunity in the warehouse. All those flowers! Mmm Mmmm good! But I bought a good handful and some alterable wood trays that I am going to enjoy playing with when the holidays are over. Oh, and I think Jennifer and I will be in a friendly competitive race to see who teaches what new techniques in our upcoming classes. Me, Jenn, Me!!!! Paint on the crystals!!! LOL! Oh, and I can't forget to mention that Anita - the Crafty Wahine - was there too. Anita is one of the Nifty Fifty Fiskateers who trained me for Certified Fiskateer Training earlier this year. She is a hoot...and it was nice to see her too!

I hurried toward home, ran some holiday errands and crashed at home for about an hour. That’s all the time I had before me and the girls left the house for Anaheim, where we met up with Jennifer and her daughter Katie for the Cheetah Girls concert at the Honda Center. (Panda Express before the show!) I bought these tickets months ago for Franny and I to have a girl’s night out. She loved it….but was pretty tired. Even though the opening act started right on time at the responsible hour of 6pm, she was still pooped by the time the Cheetahs came onstage at about 7:15 or so. She was actually asleep by the time the final song was playing. But I loved seeing her boogie to her favorite songs early on. And, the best part of the night? The $10 light stick of course. Jennifer's pictures are way better than the ones I took, so check out the Cheetahs on her blog!

I spent today tidying up and baking, and generally trying to remember if I should be doing anything urgent for the holiday. I couldn't think of anything. Franny and I got hair cuts, and I "washed that gray right outta my hair" with some home hair color tonight. I don't want Santa thinking he should put that in my stocking! I also finished up these ornament gifts. I decoupaged Daisy D's Christmas paper onto glass ornaments. They look pretty groovy! Anyway, I think I am caught up. Whew!

Happy Holidays! :)
