Beautiful Evidence

Friday – today, I was much more rested and ready for a full day of CKU. I like having the album track on this day so I don’t have to run around to classes. The digi class is really special since we are the pioneers – the first to take Jessica Sprague’s all day digital album class. I think she was just as nervous as some of the students, but it really went well. There were lots of first time Photoshop users which was slow going at first, but after the first couple lessons on techniques, it was much smoother sailing. No one got the 20 pages done – but I am well on my way with about 11 done. I am going to work on it on the plane ride home. This album track is called BEAUTIFUL EVIDENCE, and celebrates all the "little things"that make our lives rich, beautiful and well, "ours."

I sat with Nicole from the Pie Eaters and new friend Jennifer (from Wisconsin – she is a professional roller derby skater named the “jail breaker”). Jessica Sprague is an awesome teacher – incredibly patient and able to explain complicated things in an easy manner. She is a computer expert with a scrapper’s brain, so she gets how to teach us. Plus she has a fabulous sense of humor. Look at me in this picture….you can see my tonsils and she is right along with me!! Here is one of the sample pages from my Beautiful Evidence album….still in progress.

The Friday night crop had another ton of goodies. We had two album kits and a big bag of stuff – Prima flowers, more Wausau paper, stickers, chipboard, embellishments of all sorts. Look how loaded down Victoria and Nicole were when they walked in!

Tomorrow I have four 90 minute classes and then Commencement! When I got home tonight I just started stuffing things into my suitcase for the flight home. I should’ve brought another bag.

Wow--that is one kick butt digi page!! How awesome--I love Jessica's work but am too attached to my paper to use digi. And you met a roller derby star!?!? How incredible is that?! Hope you keep having a great time. See you soon!
