Goodies from Scrapbook Expo Ontario

It’s taken me a couple weeks to get around to posting these photos, but I am no less excited!! Ontario Scrapbook Expo was the official end of my “no shopping” challenge. In all honesty it wasn’t a “no shopping” month. It was a severely reduced shopping month. It was a good exercise and has really helped me to prioritize my spending for supplies and make me think about what I really want or need. To that end, what did I really want at Expo? Well, the winner is the limited edition “Merry & Bright” dies from Quickutz for my Revolution. They are so cool! I also bought some cute papers from Tinkering Ink, and new Prima rhinestone flower centers, and some Glitz Designs Frosting. But the big purchase was the dies. I can’t wait to get to them and cut up a storm.

As far as the classes at Expo, I really enjoyed the three that I took. The first was the “explosion” box from Galloping Horse Productions. This class used their cute Disney papers and embellishments. Now that I know how to make these I will want to try it again and again. Very cute and very easy. I also took two Rusty Pickle classes that I liked – “Bloom” and “I Have.” Both of those classes were not my usual style, but I enjoyed them all the same.

This past weekend was the first in a long time where I didn't have any commitments outside the house. So I finished up a bunch of projects for the Red Bee Design Team, for which I am very happy about doing! The Crops2Remember day crop is this coming Saturday at The Bee! Yippee! I also have two teaching commitments for Scrapbook Royalty this weekend, benefitting the Cancer Coping Center. After that I will be counting down until registration for CKU Chicago (12/12) in March. Looks like my sister Li and I will travel there together and hang out with my other sister, Mei, in Chicago. Even though neither of them will attend CKU it will be a nice sisterly reunion (or a dang good excuse to get together while I get another dose of CKU!)
