Passionately Pink for the Cure

October is PINK ribbon month - Breast Cancer Awareness month, and so many of my scrapbooking pals, all the stores and anyone who is anyone in the biz is recognizing this important campaign with fundraising activities and events.

This Saturday I will be demo-ing at Ever After in Carlsbad for their Tour de Crop bus shopping tour, and while there I will be offering two make 'n takes - all proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure. The first is this teeny 1X2 mini-album charm that can adorn the progressive make 'n take Halloween paint can the bus passengers will be making (or can be worn around the neck as "flair". The other is a larger 4X3 mini book that has a very wirey hairy spider to add more spook to the season!

On Saturday, the 20th, I will again be in North San Diego County, helping out the make 'n take team at the Survivor Crop. This is one of the largest (if not THE largest) scrapbooking fundraising event for this charity. The make 'n take is being designed by a whole team of people - I will be the "official" punching and binding Zutter girl! The gals at Ever After and the whole Survivor Crop team are working their hearts out for what is bound to be a fabulous event (yet again!) There is still time to get on an "island" - so get to it!

At the end of the month I will be at The Red Bee Gallery for the Breast Cancer Awareness. Local scrapbook artists will have work on display that will be voted on to win various categories of prizes, and there will be fabulous other scrap-art donated by scrap celebrities for the silent auction. All proceeds going to....SGK. You can help by making donations at this link: The Red Bee PASSIONATELY PINK for the CURE.

And, lastly I am getting my office involved, by offering my co-workers this make 'n take, which all proceeds will be going to SGK also. I am teaching this group of scrapbooking neophytes the Tim Holtz "Memories Under Glass" project - to help them get a head start on personalized holiday gifts.

Hope your fundraising for PINK month is successful and that we can beat Breast Cancer together!
